How to Sign up for a CDWCO Show

CDWCO show registrations are through RingRadar. You’ll have to create an account, then enter your horse and rider information the very first time you use RingRadar.

You’ll pay for your entry with a credit or debit card. Your class fees are $30/class for CDWCO members, $35/class for non-members and a $15 office fee.

NEW Requirement: Starting in year 2026, Cowboy Dressage World ("CDW," the national organization) requires all participants of Cowboy Dressage shows to be a CDW Remuda member or to pay an additional $25 per show. Youth are excluded from this requirement.

Go to the CDW Join Us page to join the CDW Remuda.

Adult CDW Remuda memberships are $65 a year.  If you enter the first show as a non-CDW Remuda member, you have 30 days to use the $25 non-member fee as a credit if you decide you want to join the national organization.

Instructions to Enter a Show in Ring Radar

Step 1 If this is your first visit, you will need to create a RingRadar account. RingRadar has an excellent Learning Center that can walk you through using the software but we have included some basic instructions below.

How to create an account?

  1. On the RingRadar homepage and click on Login from the menu bar.

  2. On the login page click Create New Account.

  3. Enter your details on the sign up page and then click Continue.

  4. A verification link will be sent to the email address that you used to sign up.

  5. Check your email and click on the link. It will redirect you to your RingRadar account or you can click on the login link after verifying.

Step 2: Add Horse & People

  • If this is your first time using RingRadar, enter your Horse and Rider information. By entering your information now, it adds your horse and rider information to  the pull-down menus when you later go to Enter a Show.

  • The easiest way to add your Horse and Rider information is to select the “My Account” option from the top navigation bar.

Click on the People option from this menu and fill out the information on the Rider and Trainer. If you have no trainer, then add the rider again under trainer.

Reminder Note: When adding a Rider, be sure to enter your CDW Remuda membership number to avoid being charged $25 non-member fee.

When you have completed the Rider information, go back to the My Account page and select Horses and fill out the Add Horse Information.

After entering your horse, save the information.

Step 3 Add your Show

Select My Shows from the left navigation bar.

Select Enter a Show (blue box on right side of screen).

Select the CDWCO Schooling show from the list.

Before entering a show, ensure that you are logged into your Ring Radar account and search for the appropriate show.

  • On the show page click Enter, it will route you to the Enter A Show page.

Once the show is selected you can select your horse and people information from the pull down menus.

When entering a show people and horses who have previously entered will appear in the drop-down menu of Horse, Rider, and Trainer. These will show up on the menu first but you can also search by typing their name.

Your horses will also appear in the same drop-down at the very bottom of the menu under a section called My Horses.

If you want to create a new entry, simple click on the + Add new Person, Horse, Trainer option at the bottom of the drop-down menu of each field.

Step 4: Select Your Classes

  • Select your division and classes from the options provided. You can also find them easily using the Search field.

Repeat above step to add each desired class. CDWCO allows you to enter up to 5 ridden classes AND 4 ground classes (9 total) per horse per day. You cannot enter Liberty classes unless you have pre-qualified.

  • The numbers of the classes have changed from previous years. Now CDWCO classes are broken out by division: Youth, Amateur, and Open (also referred to as “Professional” or “Pro” in the software). The class number stays the same across divisions, but the division is indicated by a letter after the number. For example, Youth class 34 appears as 34Y, while the same class in Amateur and Professional (Open) appears as 34A or 34P.

  • You now have the ability to go in and edit and make changes to classes up until the close date of the show (April 8th, unless it fills more quickly). This will allow you the flexibility to “change your mind” about classes from when you sign up until the show closes. (Reminder, there is a limit to 4 on the ground and 5 ridden classes for a total of 9 classes per horse per day.)

  • In terms of payment, credit cards will be placed on file but will not be charged until after the show closes.

  • The fee will auto-fill. Note: The $30/class or $20/class (Horsemanship) fees are for CDWCO members. If you are NOT a CDWCO member, you’ll be asked to add $5/class later.  If you are not a CDW Remuda member you will be asked to pay a $25 non-CDW Remuda fee later to enter the show.

  • Starting in 2026, there are new High Point Divisions!  We’ve added a Walk/Jog/Lope (all courts) High Point for Amateur and Professional. To qualify for W/J/L, you must show in at least two lope classes per show, but it is encouraged to show in at least three.

  • The Youth division now has high point awards for Partnership on the Ground (POTG) High Point. Additionally, in the Youth Challenge Court Division now includes Partnership Under Saddle (P/US) classes (for youth only). We’ve also added a Youth Rookie prize. (Reminder, Freestyle and Horsemanship classes do not count toward any regular High Point Division or Award.)

  • Want to ride a class multiple times? if you want to ride more than once in a class, you, you’ll have to pick separate “classes” for each ride. For example, if you are a Youth rider who would like to show Walk/Jog 1, three times, you’ll need to enter class 34Y (ride 1), 34Y2 (ride 2), and 34Y3 (ride 3). If you’d like to ride the same class more than once and you do not see the respective “2” or “3”, you’ll need to email CDWColorado@gmail.com to be manually entered. It is your responsibility to clearly indicate which class you would like to enter a second or third time.

  • If you are entering Drill Team Freestyle, only one member of the drill team needs to enter/pay. The other member(s) should not sign up on Ring Radar.

  • As you add each class, they will be added to a list at the bottom of the page.  If you accidentally add the wrong class, you can go to the bottom of the page and delete the class you added incorrectly.

  • When you’ve entered your final class, click “Save and Continue.”

Step 5: Required Forms

  • Be sure to fill out and sign all forms such as waivers and consent forms. You can click the Sign Form button or have it sent to your email using the send icon.

Step 6: Add and Review Fees

After selecting the classes, review the associated fees. You may also add card details for payment and then click save. Follow the instructions to pay for the show online.

Remember credit cards will be placed on file but will not be charged until after the show closes.

If you are going to stable your horse at the show, select the number of stalls needed and the number of nights. If you want a tack /feed room stall, be sure to include an extra stall for that.

For the JeffCo show the nightly stall fee is $24 a night.  No shavings are provided. This is for the night before/day of, or just the day of (e.g., Friday night/Saturday, or Saturday night/Sunday). Be sure to bring your own hay, grain, buckets, shavings, etc.  Horse Owner is responsible for providing clean shavings for each stall and for stripping  the stall upon exit.

RV Hookups are available for $48/night, but you MUST reserve a spot at least 3 weeks before the show date as we need to inform the fairgrounds beforehand.
